Tuna Salad


12oz can or pouch tuna, packed in water
1/8 cup mayo or miracle whip
2 TBSP pickle relish
1 stalk celery, diced
1/2 teaspoon each garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, red pepper flakes
pinch each salt & pepper
squeeze of lemon juice
optional: bread, cheese, lettuce, tomato, crackers


1. Drain tuna, put in small mixing bowl.
2. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir well.
3. For a tuna melt: place salad on a piece of bread, cover with a slice of tomato and a slice of cheese, toast in the toaster oven until cheese starts to bubble and brown.
4. For lettuce wraps: spoon salad into whole leaves of lettuce,sprinkle on a little soy sauce, and roll up.
5. For amuse-bouche: mix a handful of shredded pepperjack or cheddar cheese into the salad, spoon by teaspoonful onto crostini or crackers.
