Zuppa Toscana


4 cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1lb ground Italian sausage
3 potatoes, cubed
1 onion, diced
2 cups chopped greens (swiss chard, kale, or spinach)
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp each garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, parsley
salt & pepper
Garnish options: grated Parmesam, chopped green onion, fresh parsley, chopped cooked bacon


1. Combine broth, potatoes, and seasonings in a large pot over medium heat.
2. Brown sausage in a pan with onion and garlic. Drain excess grease. Add to pot.
3. Simmer for 30 minutes or until potatoes are soft.
4. Add greens and cream.
5. Heat another 5-10 minutes.
6. Top with desired garnish to taste.
