Sauteed Green Beans


2 big handfuls fresh green beans, trimmed and cut in half.
2 pieces bacon
1 clove garlic, minced
2 TBSP slivered almonds or chopped cashews
1 tsp olive oil
1 tsp rice vinegar
1 tsp fish sauce


1. Blanche green beans in boiling water for 5 min, immediatey drain and rinse with cold water.
2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat sautee the bacon for 5 min until crispy, then chop roughly.
3. Drain excess bacon grease from pan.
4. Mix oil, vinegar, and fish sauce. Toss beans in sauce until coated.
5. Add beans, garlic, bacon, and nuts to pan.
6. Sautee until green beans are slightly wilted.

Oh lord this sounds good. I crave green beans all the time lol.

Green beans are my faaaaaavorite and it makes me cry when they're over cooked :(

Yeah I was bored last night so I went through and added the sorting tags haha. Now I just need to make a recipes masterpost to link to in my sidebar
