Eggs in a Basket


2 slices of bread
2 eggs
Spreadable butter or margarine
salt & pepper


1. Heat a medium saucepan over medium heat.
2. Cut a hole in each slice of bread (like 3" diameter).
3. Butter both sides of each slice of bread. (you can also butter the hole pieces and fry them too, spread some jam or peanut butter on them or cream cheese and a slice of fruit)
4. Place the bread in the pan, crack one egg into each hole.
5. Sprinkle with paprika, dill, salt & pepper.
6. Cook for 2 min, flip, cook for 2 min more. The egg will be slightly runny, add an extra minute on the first side for a harder egg.
